Infant health begins in the womb!
Maternal Outpatient Medical Services (MOMS) is a health coverage program which provides prenatal and postpartum out-patient pregnancy-related services for women who are not eligible for full Medicaid coverage.
Services
Services for this program includes:
Prenatal care, pregnancy-related care
Pharmaceuticals/prescription vitamins
Laboratory services
Radiology/ultrasound services
Maternal Support Services (MSS)
Professional fee component of labor and delivery
Outpatient hospital care
Postpartum care through two calendar months after the pregnancy ends
Family planning/contraceptive services, including professional fee component of postpartum sterilization
Eligibility
Pregnant women who live in Michigan At 185% or below of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL)
Cannot be eligible for full Medicaid
Pregnant women age 17 and under automatically qualify
Clients currently receiving benefits from Medicaid for urgent/emergent services only
Fees
Free to eligible pregnant women.

Q: What if I have other health insurance coverage?
A: You may still qualify for this program if you fall under the income level and your health insurance has minimal coverage for pregnancy. Call your local office to discuss this with a MOMS representative.
Q: Is it difficult to apply?
A: No. Just call your local office - the MOMS representative will schedule an appointment for you and indicate what information you will need to bring with you
