Preschool and School Aged Health

Growing children have important health needs that are addressed by public health programs: access to care, immunization, nutrition, hearing and vision screening and other routine, preventive services.

Healthy Kids (Medicaid) and MiChild provide publicly funded health insurance to income-eligible children. WIC supports healthy eating through food and nutrition education. Immunization review and booster shots upon entry to preschool or kindergarten prevents the spread of serious diseases.

Explore these and other programs and services in the navigation menu at left to learn more, then use the Contact and Clinic Schedule links to find information about what’s available in your county.
