What is SHARE?

SHARE is a nonprofit food buying club that offers good, nutritious products at reduced cost through a volunteer-run, community-based distribution system. SHARE’s mission is to build and strengthen community through volunteer service.

Who Can Join SHARE?

Share is for everyone! Anyone who wants to save money on food and help their community can be a member of SHARE. There are no membership fees or eligibility requirements.

Save up to 30% – 50% on food

As a member of SHARE, you can save up to 30–50% on many of the same products you would find in a supermarket. SHARE can offer amazing savings because SHARE volunteers help sort, package and distribute the food that SHARE buys in bulk for over 20,000 people.

High Quality Food

SHARE offers a wide variety of frozen meats, fresh produce, other grocery items and club-size packages. The foods available vary each month, and you pick the food you order.

SHARE is Near You

SHARE serves over 200 communities throughout Wisconsin, northern Illinois and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Distribution sites are located in Hancock, L’Anse, Ontonagon, Mass City.

How Do I Place an Order?

Orders can be placed by mail, in person, or over the phone (credit card only). To place an order, please contact the host site where you plan to pick up your order. Payment methods accepted include cash, check (made payable to WUPHD), credit card, and Bridge Cards. Members paying with Bridge Cards should make an appointment so volunteers can complete necessary paperwork.
