Immunizations prevent serious illnesses at every stage of life. The Health Department offers regular, convenient immunization clinics at various sites across the Western Upper Peninsula. Check the clinic schedule for sites and times in your area, or contact your local health department office to schedule an appointment.

Adult immunizations available through the Western UP Health Department include:

  • Tetanus, Diptheria, & Pertussis (Tdap)
  • Polio Vaccine (IPV)
  • Haemophilus influenza Type B (HiB)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
  • Hepatitis A Vaccine (HAV)
  • Hepatitis B Vaccine (HBV)
  • Human Papillomavirus (HPV)
  • Influenza
  • Meningococal Conjugate (MCV4)
  • Pneumococcal Conjugate (Prevnar)
  • Rotavirus
  • Tetanus & Diptheria (Td)
  • Varicella Vaccine (chickenpox)
  • Zostavax
  • Vaccinations for International travel are also available by appointment.

Eligibility

Everyone, regardless of age, can participate in immunization programs through the Western UP Health Department. Under the Affordable Health Care Act, many insurance providers are covering immunizations as a form of preventative care.
