Taking care of your teeth is one of the best things you can do for your health. The Ewen Community Dental Clinic is dedicated to providing dental services to Medicaid enrollees and low-income, uninsured residents throughout the Western Upper Peninsula. The center is currently open Monday through Thursday from 8:00-4:30. New patients can call 877-313-6232 to register and make their first appointment.

The Ewen Dental Clinic provides complete dental care for the entire family – oral exams, cleanings, fillings, crowns, dentures, fluoride treatment, emergency treatment, and root canals. The care provided is customized to meet the individual needs of each patient, and is offered in a patient-centered atmosphere with exceptional customer service. Clinic hours vary.

Michigan Community Dental Clinic, Inc. (MCDC) operates the clinic on behalf of the Western UP Health Department. The mission of MCDC is to create and expand access to ever-improving, quality dental care for children and adults who have Medicaid and Healthy Michigan Plan, or low-income, uninsured individuals. The center also accepts those with commercial insurance, and encourages all residents to establish a dental home. For more information on the center, or to register as a patient, call 877-313-6232 or visit Michigan Community Dental Clinics.

For a healthy smile, follow these dental health tips: Visit your dentist regularly, use a soft bristled brush and toothpaste with fluoride and brush teeth twice a day, floss each day, eat healthy foods, and limit snacks. Oral health is often a link to a person’s overall physical health, and can be an indicator for diabetes, heart disease, cancer and more.
