Learning Opportunity: ACEs & Secondary Traumatic Stress

A workshop for educators and health care providers, presented by: Western UP Health Department & Building a Resilient Copper Country (BARCC).

This presentation will explore:

  • The links between childhood trauma and social, emotional and physical health issues later in life.
  • The importance of trauma screening and neurodevelopmental      assessment
  • The necessity of identifying childhood trauma in the development of resiliency-based case planning in the child serving systems.
  • The occupational hazards of secondary traumatic stress
