Free vision & hearing screening for all pre-school and school-aged children
The Health Department conducts vision and hearing screening for preschool and school-aged children at regular intervals in schools throughout the Western Upper Peninsula.
Services
Tests and exams under this program include:
Vision screening: Special Ed. and grades K-1-3-5-7-9-11 or grades K-1-3-5-7-10
Hearing screening: Special Ed. and grades K-2-4
Referral
Follow-Up
Otology clinics offered at no charge for children that fail a hearing test
Eligibility
All children are eligible.
