Public health departments in the central and western Upper Peninsula announce the initiation of a search for a physician licensed in Michigan as an M.D. or D.O. to fill the role of Medical Director for one or more local health departments. Departments conducting this search include: Dickinson-Iron Health Department, Marquette County Health Department, Public Health of Delta & Menominee, and Western U P Health Department.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a physician who has a background or an interest in public health and general preventive medicine.
The successful applicant must meet the qualifications described in Michigan’s Public Health Code and will fulfill the duties specified under the Code and the operating policies of the local health departments.
