National WIC Enrollment Week, Oct. 5-9, 2026, is the perfect time to discover what WIC can offer your family!  Women, Infants and Children (WIC) is a federal public health nutrition program dedicated to helping families live healthier lives. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have had a baby in the past 6 months, or are caring for a child under 5, you may be eligible to receive support from WIC.  Eligibility is extended to dads, grandparents, foster parents, and anyone raising kids under five!

Through participation in WIC, your family can receive personalized assistance to support healthy child development.  Benefits include healthy Foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and referrals to additional support services.  Eligibility for WIC services is income based (100 to 185% Federal Poverty Level).  WIC services are available through all Western UP Health Department office locations.
